Wisk Aero Opens Dedicated Vertiport for Autonomous eVTOL Flight Testing in Canada
Wisk Aero has unveiled a new vertiport facility in Mirabel, Quebec, dedicated to testing its autonomous eVTOL aircraft. Located at the Mirabel Aerospace Centre, the site will be used to develop and evaluate operational procedures for the company's self-flying, all-electric air taxi. Testing will focus on ground infrastructure, aircraft charging, and the complete cycle of autonomous flight missions. This facility is a critical step for Wisk in refining its concept of operations for uncrewed passenger flights. Developed with support from Investissement Québec, this move advances the company's goal of launching commercial services within the decade.
