WCAworld Foundation Airfreights Urgent Medical Supplies to Crisis-Hit Sri Lanka
The WCAworld Foundation has successfully organized an urgent airfreight shipment of medical aid to Sri Lanka amid its severe economic crisis. The delivery addresses critical shortages of essential medicines and supplies within the country's healthcare system. In collaboration with its Sri Lankan partner, Classic Travel, the foundation sourced over 100,000 items, including syringes, cannulas, and sutures. SriLankan Airlines played a key role by transporting the humanitarian cargo free of charge from London to Colombo. The supplies have been handed over to the Ministry of Health for distribution to hospitals in need.
