UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch Releases Latest Safety Reports
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is the UK government body responsible for investigating civil aircraft accidents and serious incidents. Its primary objective is not to apportion blame but to determine the causes in order to improve aviation safety. The AAIB conducts detailed technical investigations into occurrences both in the UK and overseas. Following an investigation, it publishes a formal report containing analysis and safety recommendations to prevent future accidents.
