Wisk Aero Begins Construction on First Dedicated eVTOL Vertiport in California
Wisk Aero has broken ground on its first dedicated vertiport at Hollister Municipal Airport in California. The new facility is designed to support the flight testing and certification of its sixth-generation, autonomous eVTOL air taxi. This vertiport will enable Wisk to evaluate and refine all aspects of ground and flight operations, including aircraft charging, maintenance, and ground support procedures. Described as the first-ever vertiport to be built by an eVTOL developer, it marks a critical step toward the company's goal of launching commercial services. The infrastructure will provide a blueprint for future vertiports in Wisk's planned air mobility network.
