U.S. Air Force B-52 Bomber Crashes on Takeoff in Guam; All Crew Members Safe
A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress crashed and exploded shortly after takeoff from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The heavy bomber, part of a deployment from Minot Air Force Base, was conducting a routine training mission when the incident occurred. Video from the scene shows the aircraft engulfed in flames and thick black smoke on the flight line. Despite the complete loss of the aircraft, all seven crew members were able to exit safely and were reported uninjured. An official investigation has been launched by the Air Force to determine the cause of the crash.
