Thoroughbred Aviation Delivers First Privately Owned Upgraded MD Super D/20B Helicopter
Thoroughbred Aviation has delivered the first privately owned MD Super D/20B helicopter. This aircraft is a significantly upgraded MD 520N, part of a modernization program announced just a year ago. The conversion includes a new, more powerful Rolls-Royce RR300 turbine engine and a state-of-the-art Genesys Aerosystems all-glass cockpit. Approved under an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate, the upgrade enhances the helicopter's performance, efficiency, and acoustics. The new aircraft was delivered to a private owner for use as personal transport.
