Thoroughbred Aviation Delivers First Privately-Owned MD Super D/20B Helicopter
Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance has successfully delivered the first MD Super D/20B helicopter to a private owner. The aircraft is a comprehensive conversion of a former U.S. Army OH-6A Cayuse light observation helicopter. Key upgrades include a more powerful Rolls-Royce 250-C20B engine, new main and tail rotor blades, and a modernized glass cockpit. This conversion, covered by a supplemental type certificate (STC), provides significant performance enhancements in speed, payload, and hot-and-high capability for the classic airframe.
