Swissport Expands African Footprint, Enters Cabo Verde Market
Swissport has officially commenced operations in the Republic of Cabo Verde, marking its entry into a new African market. The company is now providing passenger services and ramp handling at four international airports: Sal, Santiago, Boa Vista, and São Vicente. This strategic expansion follows the bankruptcy of the previous local ground handler, allowing Swissport to take over the license. The move strengthens Swissport's presence on the continent, where it now operates in 30 airports across six countries. This launch is a key part of the company's African growth strategy.
