Skyports Advances Vertiport Development As AAM Vehicle Timelines Slip
Vertiport developer Skyports Infrastructure is pushing forward with its plans despite delays in the certification of advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft. The company views the revised timelines from eVTOL manufacturers, now pointing toward 2026-2027 for entry-into-service, as an opportunity to mature its infrastructure. Skyports is actively working on gaining regulatory approvals and finalizing vertiport designs in key markets like the UK and Dubai. While the aircraft may be delayed, Skyports is using the extra time to ensure the ground infrastructure will be ready. This strategic move aims to de-risk the eventual launch of commercial air taxi services.
