Sichuan Airlines Executives Under Investigation for Alleged Violations
Li Haiying, the former chairman and president of Sichuan Airlines Group, is under investigation for 'serious violations of discipline and law,' a term often used in China to denote corruption. The probe is being conducted by the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. Li, who retired in 2023, had been a key figure at the airline since its early days in 2002. This investigation is part of a wider anti-corruption campaign targeting state-owned enterprises across China. Sichuan Airlines is a major carrier, majority-owned by the provincial government.
