Ocean Network Express (ONE) and HMM have announced a new joint shipping service connecting the Mediterranean with West Africa. The new route, named MIAX, will utilize the Spanish port of Algeciras as a key transhipment hub for cargo. This service aims to improve connections and offer more reliable transit times for trade between Europe and Africa. The deployment of four vessels will link ports such as Tema, Abidjan, Valencia, and Genoa, strengthening Algeciras's strategic position in global logistics.
