NATA Extends Ramp Safety Training Beyond Line Service Personnel
The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is broadening the scope of its Safety 1st training program. Previously targeted at line service technicians, the ramp safety curriculum is now available to other airside personnel. This expansion includes roles such as customer service representatives, pilots, and flight crew members who may operate vehicles on the ramp. The goal is to instill a comprehensive safety culture across the entire airport ground environment. By extending this training, NATA aims to reduce ground incidents and enhance operational safety for all.
