MSC Launches Hybrid Sea-Air Service to Bypass Red Sea Disruptions
Shipping giant MSC has introduced a new sea-air solution to circumvent the ongoing disruptions in the Red Sea. The service transports goods by sea to Dammam in Saudi Arabia or Dubai in the UAE. From there, the cargo is transferred to aircraft for the final leg to destinations in Europe and the Americas. This innovative hybrid model is designed to be a faster alternative to the extended all-sea route around Africa's Cape of Good Hope. It also presents a more cost-effective option for shippers compared to relying solely on air freight.
