India's AMCA Program: Developing a 5th-Generation Stealth Fighter for Air Superiority
India is advancing its aerospace capabilities with the development of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). This program, led by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), aims to produce a fifth-generation, multirole stealth fighter. The AMCA is designed with features like supercruise, advanced avionics, and a low radar cross-section to ensure air dominance. It is intended to replace aging aircraft in the Indian Air Force, including the SEPECAT Jaguar and Dassault Mirage 2000. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will be responsible for manufacturing this next-generation indigenous fighter jet.
