Guernsey Airport's 84-Year-Old Runway Set for £24 Million Overhaul

Guernsey Airport is preparing for a major £24 million project to replace its 84-year-old runway. The current asphalt surface has reached the end of its operational life, necessitating a full replacement to ensure future safety and reliability. The five-month project is scheduled to begin in March 2025. To minimize disruption to flights and passengers, all construction work will be conducted overnight. This represents the most significant upgrade to the runway since its last major work in 1999.
