Garuda Indonesia Transfers Bengkulu Operations to LCC Citilink

Garuda Indonesia is handing over its operational responsibilities for the Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta to Bengkulu route to its low-cost subsidiary, Citilink, starting May 1, 2024. This strategic decision is part of the Garuda Group's ongoing network restructuring and optimization efforts. By transferring the route, the group aims to better align its service offerings with market demand, deploying the LCC model on price-sensitive domestic routes. Citilink will operate the service using its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. The move allows the parent airline, Garuda, to focus its full-service product on other key domestic and international markets.
