Flybe Administrators Sue Former Owners for £33m Over Airline's Collapse
The administrators for the collapsed regional airline Flybe have launched a £33 million lawsuit against its former owners. The High Court claim alleges that a consortium, which included Virgin Atlantic and Stobart Group, misused a loan intended for the airline's operations. Administrators from Interpath claim the funds were instead used to repay the owners just before Flybe's first collapse in March 2020. The legal action aims to recover the money for the benefit of the airline's creditors. The former owners have denied the allegations, stating the transactions were proper and intended to support the business.
