Flybe Administrators Sue Aircraft Lessors Over Alleged 'Conspiracy'
Administrators for the collapsed airline Flybe have launched a major lawsuit against two aircraft lessors, Aergo and Nordic Aviation Capital. The legal action, filed in New York, accuses the firms of a "wrongful and bad-faith scheme" to prevent Flybe's fleet from flying again. The administrators from Interpath allege the lessors deliberately repossessed the Dash 8-400 aircraft to lease them to other airlines at higher rates. This action allegedly thwarted a potential rescue deal for the airline following its collapse in January 2023. The lawsuit is seeking hundreds of millions of pounds in damages.
