Finnair Finalizes Deal for up to 46 Embraer E195-E2 Jets to Modernize Regional Fleet
Finnair has announced a significant fleet renewal program, ordering up to 46 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The deal, arranged through a lease agreement with Azorra, includes 20 firm orders and 26 purchase rights. These new jets are set to replace the airline's current, aging fleet of Embraer E190s, which are operated by its regional partner, Nordic Regional Airlines (Norra). The E195-E2 is touted for its improved fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels, aligning with Finnair's sustainability goals. Deliveries of the new aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2025 and will continue through 2027.
