Dual Engine Flameout Cited in NTSB Preliminary Report on Fatal Austin CEO Crash
The National Transportation Safety Board has released its preliminary report on the fatal crash that killed Austin tech CEO Alan Page. The report confirms that Page, who was piloting the Cessna 560XL Citation Excel, radioed that both engines had flamed out before the crash. The incident occurred on February 16 near Williamson County as the aircraft descended in poor weather conditions. Air traffic control lost radar contact with the jet shortly after the pilot's distress call. The NTSB investigation remains ongoing, with a final report expected in one to two years.
