dnata Invests $21 Million in New High-Tech Cargo Terminal at Western Sydney Airport
Global air and travel services provider dnata is investing an initial $21 million (A$32 million) to build a new cargo terminal at Western Sydney International Airport (WSI). This investment is the first phase of a twenty-year lease agreement valued at over $132 million. The state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-meter facility will feature semi-automated handling systems to process various types of cargo, including perishables and pharmaceuticals. Scheduled to be operational in 2027, the terminal is designed to enhance freight capacity and efficiency in the Sydney basin. The project also emphasizes sustainability, aiming for a 5-Star Green Star rating.
