De Havilland Canada Delivers 1000th Twin Otter in Historic Milestone
De Havilland Aircraft of Canada has celebrated a significant production milestone with the delivery of its 1000th Twin Otter aircraft. The historic aircraft, a new DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G, was handed over to Swiss operator Zimex Aviation. This delivery underscores the enduring success and versatility of the renowned STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) aircraft program. The Classic 300-G is the fifth generation of the Twin Otter, featuring a modern Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite and improved payload capabilities. Zimex Aviation, a long-time customer, will add the milestone aircraft to its specialized operations fleet.
