Aurigny Suspends Guernsey-Gatwick Route for Winter Season Citing Financial Pressures

Guernsey's state-owned airline, Aurigny, has announced the suspension of its service to London Gatwick for the winter season. The route will cease operations from the end of October until spring 2025. The airline described the service as being under significant pressure and not financially sustainable during the quieter off-peak months. Aurigny's chief executive, Nico Bezuidenhout, stated that continuing the route would result in substantial losses for the company. The airline will maintain its services to London City Airport, which it considers a more viable option for the winter period.
