Aurigny Boosts Guernsey-Gatwick Route Capacity with Airbus A320
Guernsey's state-owned airline, Aurigny, is increasing capacity on its London Gatwick route for the peak summer season. The carrier will lease a larger Airbus A320 from a European airline to replace its current Embraer E195 jet. This change, effective from late May to mid-September, adds 56 seats per flight, bringing the total to 178 passengers. The move is designed to meet high summer demand and provide greater operational resilience. The displaced Embraer jet will be used on other routes or serve as a backup aircraft.
