Atlas Arteria Rejects IFM's $8.8 Billion Takeover Bid as Undervalued and Opportunistic
Global toll road operator Atlas Arteria has formally rejected an A$12.8 billion (US$8.87bn) hostile takeover offer from IFM Global Infrastructure Fund. The board labeled the proposal as undervalued, opportunistic, and highly conditional. IFM, which already holds a significant 19% stake in the company, submitted the non-binding bid to acquire full control. Atlas Arteria's assets include critical airport-related infrastructure like the Dulles Greenway, a primary access route to Washington Dulles International Airport. The company has advised shareholders to take no action on the offer.
