American Airlines Removes Screens from 23 Airbus A319s as First Retrofitted A320 Enters Service
American Airlines is continuing its narrowbody fleet modernization by removing seatback screens from 23 of its Airbus A319 aircraft. This move standardizes the cabin with the airline's other retrofitted jets, which favor streaming entertainment to personal devices. The updated aircraft will feature device holders and power outlets at every seat instead of built-in screens. This effort is part of the airline's broader interior harmonization project. Concurrently, the first Airbus A320 to undergo a complete interior refresh has now re-entered commercial service.
