Airbus Reports 55% Profit Increase Fueled by Strong Aircraft Demand
European planemaker Airbus has reported a significant 55% increase in its first-quarter core profit, with revenues also rising by 9%. The strong financial performance is attributed to sustained high demand from airlines for new, more fuel-efficient aircraft. During the first three months of the year, the company successfully delivered 142 commercial planes to its customers. Despite acknowledging ongoing supply chain challenges, Airbus has reaffirmed its full-year financial forecasts. The manufacturer remains on track to meet its target of delivering 800 commercial aircraft in 2024.
