Air Canada Abruptly Cancels Its 22-Hour Ultra-Long-Haul Route to Bangkok
Air Canada has unexpectedly canceled its seasonal service from Vancouver to Bangkok via Singapore for the upcoming winter 2024/2025 season. The route, which was the airline's longest one-stop service with a total travel time of up to 22 hours, has been removed from all booking systems. Operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the flight included a fifth-freedom leg between Singapore and Bangkok. While the airline has not provided an official reason, the cancellation may be linked to aircraft delivery delays or the route's commercial performance. This follows the previous cancellation of Air Canada's nonstop service to the Thai capital.
