Air Astana Plans $4 Million Share Buyback Program for 2026
Air Astana Group has announced its intention to initiate a share buyback program valued at USD 4 million in 2026. The primary goal of the buyback is to cover the company's commitments under its employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The program is conditional on the airline successfully meeting its dividend policy targets for both 2024 and 2025, as stated in its IPO prospectus. Funding for the share repurchase will come directly from the company's own capital. This financial strategy follows the carrier's successful Initial Public Offering in February 2024.
