ZeroAvia Delays Commercial Entry of Hydrogen-Powered Regional Jet Engine to 2028
ZeroAvia has pushed back the commercial launch of its hydrogen-electric engine for regional jets by one year, to 2028. The company cited the complexity of the technology as the primary reason for the revised timeline. This delay specifically affects the ZA2000 engine, which is designed for 40-80 seat aircraft. Despite this setback for its larger engine program, ZeroAvia confirmed its smaller 600-kilowatt engine for 9-19 seat planes remains on track for a 2025 debut.
