Yeager Airport Installs Electric Aircraft Charging Infrastructure to Advance Air Mobility
West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) has installed its first electric aircraft charging station in a significant move towards sustainable aviation. The multimodal, interoperable charger was developed by Beta Technologies and will be located at the Marshall University Bill Noe Flight School hangar. This initiative positions CRW as a leader in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and will support the training of future pilots and mechanics on electric aircraft technology. The infrastructure is also capable of charging electric ground support vehicles, contributing to the airport's overall decarbonization efforts. The installation marks a key milestone for the state, making CRW the first airport in West Virginia with this capability.
