World's Largest All-Electric Aircraft Completes Successful Maiden Flight
The world's largest all-electric commercial aircraft, a modified Cessna Grand Caravan, has successfully completed its maiden flight. The 'eCaravan' is powered by a 750-horsepower magni500 electric propulsion system from magniX. Conducted by aerospace firm AeroTEC, the 30-minute flight over Moses Lake, Washington, marks a critical milestone for zero-emission aviation. This achievement is a key step toward certifying all-electric aircraft for short-haul, or 'middle-mile', transport of passengers and cargo.
