Wizz Air Suspends Nine Routes from Cardiff for Winter Season
Wizz Air has announced the suspension of nine routes from its Cardiff Airport base for the upcoming winter season, citing a challenging economic environment. The affected destinations include popular holiday spots like Tenerife, Lanzarote, Alicante, and Sharm El Sheikh. As a result of the cuts, the low-cost carrier will only operate flights to Milan and Bucharest from the Welsh capital this winter. This move follows a similar decision by the airline to close its base at Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Cardiff Airport has expressed disappointment over the significant reduction in its winter flight schedule.
