Wizz Air Raises Profit Forecast as Engine Issues Ease
Wizz Air has significantly raised its profit forecast for the year, now expecting profits to be between €500 million and €600 million. This positive revision is attributed to the easing of long-standing issues with Pratt & Whitney's Geared Turbofan engines. These problems had previously grounded around 50 of the carrier's aircraft. The airline is receiving compensation from the engine manufacturer and is seeing a faster-than-expected return of its fleet to service. Strong passenger demand and higher ticket prices are also contributing to the optimistic financial outlook.
