Wizz Air Ordered to Pay £1.24 Million in Major Lost Luggage Court Case
Wizz Air faces a £1.24 million bill after a UK court ruling on unresolved passenger claims for lost, delayed, or damaged luggage. The legal action was brought by law firm Bott and Co on behalf of thousands of affected customers. This court order follows previous enforcement action by the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) over the airline's high volume of passenger complaints. The regulator had specifically highlighted a large number of unpaid County Court Judgments against the carrier. Wizz Air has stated it is working to clear the backlog and has made progress since the CAA's intervention.
