Wizz Air Forecasts Profits to Triple Despite Grounding Aircraft for Engine Checks
Wizz Air anticipates its annual profits will triple, projecting a final figure between €500m and €600m for the current financial year. This optimistic forecast is driven by strong summer demand and higher ticket prices across its network. However, the airline is concurrently managing a significant operational issue with its Pratt & Whitney engines. A manufacturing flaw requires the grounding of approximately 45 of its Airbus A320neo family aircraft for inspections. Despite this reduction in capacity, the carrier remains confident in its strong financial performance.
