Wizz Air Forecasts Profit Surge Driven by Record Passenger Demand
Wizz Air expects its pre-tax profits to rise significantly in the coming year, forecasting a range between €500m and €600m. This optimistic outlook is fueled by continued strong passenger demand, which helped the airline carry a record 62 million people last year. The projection is a substantial increase from the €350m to €370m profit estimated for the year just ended. This financial strength comes despite ongoing operational challenges, including the grounding of part of its fleet due to Pratt & Whitney engine inspections, for which the airline is being compensated.
