Wizz Air Expects Profit Growth Despite Ongoing Pratt & Whitney Engine Issues
Wizz Air has announced it expects annual profits to be between €350m and €370m, despite significant operational challenges. The airline is grappling with issues related to Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, which have forced the grounding of approximately 40 aircraft for inspections. This global engine issue requires extensive and time-consuming workshop visits. Despite the reduced capacity and a hit from Middle East tensions, the carrier flew a record 62 million passengers and forecasts that profits will rise in the current financial year.
