Wisk Aero Breaks Ground on eVTOL Vertiport at Hollister Airport
Wisk Aero, a subsidiary of Boeing, has officially started construction on a new vertiport facility at Hollister Municipal Airport in California. This dedicated infrastructure is being built to support the development, testing, and certification of its 6th Generation autonomous eVTOL aircraft. The site will feature a terminal, a maintenance hangar, and four charging pads specifically designed for the electric air taxis. This project represents a critical step for Wisk in establishing the necessary ground-based ecosystem for its future air taxi network. The company highlighted its partnership with the City of Hollister as fundamental to advancing towards commercial operations.
