Vincentian Pilot Rochell Roache-Lanza Works to Inspire a New Generation of Female Aviators
Vincentian pilot Rochell Roache-Lanza is actively encouraging young girls to pursue careers in aviation. As one of the few female pilots from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, she currently flies the ATR 42/72 for LIAT (2020). Roache-Lanza recently returned to her alma mater, the St. Vincent Girls’ High School, to share her personal journey into the cockpit. The visit was part of the school’s career showcase, aiming to motivate students to consider non-traditional and male-dominated fields. By sharing her experiences, she hopes to inspire more young women to enter the aviation industry.
