Vertical Aerospace to Conduct VX4 eVTOL Flight Demonstration at Farnborough Airshow
Vertical Aerospace has announced it will fly its second full-scale VX4 eVTOL prototype at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024. This marks the first time a UK-developed electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft will fly at the prestigious event. The UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a Permit to Fly, authorizing the demonstration. The battery-powered aircraft will be piloted during the show, showcasing a significant milestone for the company and the UK's advanced air mobility sector. The prototype is being assembled at GKN Aerospace’s Global Technology Centre in Bristol.
