USAF Details $7.3 Billion Aircraft Procurement Plan for FY2025
The U.S. Air Force has requested a $7.3 billion budget for new aircraft procurement in its Fiscal Year 2025 proposal. This funding is designated for the acquisition of 42 F-35A Lightning II fighters and 24 F-15EX Eagle II aircraft. The plan also includes purchasing T-7A Red Hawk advanced trainers and KC-46A Pegasus tankers to continue fleet modernization. Notably, this request represents a reduction in F-35A orders from the previously planned 48, while increasing the number of F-15EX jets.
