US Regulator De-lists Motus, Placing Nearly 400,000 Trucking Carriers at Risk of Shutdown
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has revoked the registration for electronic logging device (ELD) provider Motus Logistics. This action immediately places all motor carriers using Motus's system out of compliance with federal hours-of-service regulations. An estimated 397,000 carriers are affected by the decision. These companies have been granted a 60-day period to switch to a new, certified ELD provider. Carriers that fail to comply face the suspension of their operating authority, effectively grounding their fleets.
