The United States government is implementing enhanced health screenings for Ebola at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and four other major hubs. This action is a direct response to a recent outbreak of the virus in Uganda. Passengers who have been in Uganda within the past 21 days will be funneled through these designated airports for temperature checks and health questionnaires. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is leading the precautionary effort to prevent the importation of the virus. No cases related to this outbreak have been reported in the US.
