US Air Force's New Stealth Aircraft Programs Ahead of Schedule, First Delivery Slated for 2027
The U.S. Air Force has revealed that two highly classified, next-generation stealth aircraft programs are progressing ahead of schedule. According to the service's 2025 budget request documents, the first delivery for one of the advanced systems is now anticipated in 2027. These programs are widely believed to be part of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) family of systems, which includes a sixth-generation fighter jet and Collaborative Combat Aircraft drones. The accelerated timeline underscores the Pentagon's push to field advanced capabilities to counter peer adversaries. Billions in funding have been requested to move the projects from prototyping to full-rate production by 2030.
