US Air Force Special Forces Seek New One-Way Attack Drones
U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) has issued a formal request for information to acquire new one-way attack drones. The command is seeking a man-portable, rapidly deployable system to provide its operators with an organic precision strike capability. These loitering munitions must have a range of at least 55 kilometers and an endurance of over 30 minutes. The effort aims to equip special forces with a beyond-line-of-sight weapon that can be launched from austere environments. This move highlights the growing influence of such systems, which have proven highly effective in recent conflicts.
