United Express Flight Returns to Salina After Cockpit Pressurization Alert

A United Express flight, operated by SkyWest Airlines, was forced to return to Salina Regional Airport shortly after departing for Chicago. The crew of flight SKW5588 declared an emergency due to a pressurization indication in the cockpit. The Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft landed safely back in Salina without any reported injuries. Passengers were deplaned and provided with hotel accommodations by the airline. They were rebooked on a flight scheduled for the following day while maintenance personnel inspect the aircraft.
