United Airlines' First Airbus A321XLR Spotted Completing Test Flights in Hamburg
United Airlines' first Airbus A321XLR has been seen at the Airbus facility in Hamburg, Germany, a major step towards its official delivery. The aircraft, registered as N45501, recently completed its initial test flight. United has a firm order for 50 of these long-range narrowbody jets. The A321XLR's efficiency will enable the carrier to open new, thinner transatlantic routes from its East Coast hubs. While the type is expected to enter service in late 2024, United will likely begin flying its first A321XLR in early 2025.
