United Airlines' First A321neo 'Coastliners' Emerge in Full Livery
United Airlines' first two Airbus A321neo aircraft have officially rolled out of the paint shop at the Airbus facility in Hamburg, Germany. These jets, registered as N44501 and N24502, are the first of a 130-aircraft order for the carrier. The airline has nicknamed the new fleet 'Coastliners' in a nod to their expected role on transcontinental routes. Featuring United's new domestic first-class product, these aircraft are slated to begin replacing the airline's aging Boeing 757s. The A321neos are anticipated to enter commercial service before the end of the year.
