United Airlines CEO Blasts Washington Dulles' 'Terrible' Mobile Lounges
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby has publicly condemned the passenger experience at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), specifically targeting its mobile lounge system. During a recent industry conference, Kirby described the 'Plane Mates' that transport passengers to United's primary concourses as a "terrible customer experience." He stressed that this outdated infrastructure creates a poor impression for travelers at the key hub. Kirby is urging the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) to accelerate plans for a new, permanent Concourse C/D. He views the project as essential for modernizing the airport and improving the journey for United's passengers.
